Vargen och människan har en mång tusen årig historia tillsammans. Vi har mycket likartad matsmälningsapparat (betydligt mer närbesläktad än ex chimpansen) och det faktum att vi därför under årtusendena jagade och konkurrerade om samma villebråd är det som till sist gav människans hat mot vargen. Men det var inte alltid så. Under en tid jagade vi tillsammans.
Men sedan "förädlades" vargen av människan till hunden och vår tidigare vilda jaktkamrat vargen ersattes av den tama hunden. Men och som bekant det som människan i egen regi försöker att skapa är aldrig lika fulländat som originalet.
